Jupiter police have posted photos and video of a bobcat reported in Abacoa.
Police said the images came from a Facebook follower named Cory.
He reportedly encountered the animal in a preserve area behind the Sophia at Abacoa.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, unless bobcats are sick or injured, they are generally elusive and not aggressive toward people. It says they are beneficial because they control populations of rodents, rabbits and other small animals.
