Thousands of spring breakers are expected to pack Martin County's beaches this weekend. So you can expect deputies to make sure everyone is responsible and safe.
Deputy Sheriff Joe Angelico and Justin Lundstedt are out patrolling, looking for underage drinkers and issuing citations. They are also making sure everything is in order.
"We got a lot of police presence," says Angelico.
This is just a taste of what's expected in the coming days with Martin, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie County Schools off for spring break.
"We know there's going to be increased numbers of kids out here. We know there's going to be some alcohol related incidents."
At the end of the day, deputies aren't here to be the bad guys. They just want to keep things family-friendly.
"We're completely aware people are coming out here and drinking and enjoying their day on the beach and we're completely good with people coming out and enjoying their time, but we're also asking for a lot of responsibility on their part," says Lundstedt.
