Tip leads deputies to stolen benches

UPDATE: Two benches stolen from Mulligan’s in Jensen Beach have been recovered, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

An anonymous caller told the sheriff’s office the benches were in a wooded area not far from the restaurant.
Deputies found the benches and they have been returned to the owners.

EARLIER:

Two one-of-a kind items have been stolen in Martin County.

Someone took two custom outdoor benches designed for Mulligan’s Beach House Bar and Grill in Jensen Beach, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

They were taken the day after Christmas.

The benches are hard to miss. They weigh about 45 pounds each and are 5-feet long and 3-feet wide, according to the sheriff’s office.

They have a large fish as well as the Mulligan’s logo on the backrest.
