Motorcyclist dies in Vero Beach crash

VERO BEACH, Fla. -- A motorcyclist died Tuesday afternoon in a crash in Vero Beach.

57-year-old Jeffery Crawford of Fort Pierce was driving a 2015 Harley Davidson Road Glide motorcycle south on Indian River Boulevard approaching 8th Street at 3 p.m.

Florida Highway Patrol says a 19-year-old driver from Port St. Lucie in a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt pulled in front of Crawford in the intersection of 8th Street and Indian River Boulevard.

Crawford's motorcycle struck the left side of the Chevrolet and he was ejected from the motorcycle.

Crawford was pronounced deceased at Indian River Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation.
