Three people were rescued after the boat they were in capsized Thursday half a mile off the Sebastian Inlet, according to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office.
Officials say a helicopter deployed a life raft to rescue the three men. All made it safely to shore.
The boaters are believed to be from Palm Bay, according to the sheriff's office which said rough seas caused their 18-foot vessel to capsize and sink.
More details were expected to be released Friday.
