One person is dead and two are injured following a crash in Sebastian Sunday morning, officials say.

The accident happened about 8 a.m. at Blossom Drive and Oswego Avenue in Sebastian.

According to Sgt. Mills with Sebastian Police, a purple Dodge Charger traveling north on Blosson Drive at a high rate of speed struck a pedestrian.

The Charger left the road and struck a sign before re-entering the roadway and continuing north, striking a Ford F-150 head-on, police say.

The teen driver of the Charger was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say the pedestrian, 69-year-old Alan Broberg, suffered minor injuries. He was treated at Sebastian Regional Medical Center for a broken arm and was later released.

The driver of the Ford F-150, 51-year-old Frederick Klein Jr., was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne with numerous serious injuries, officials say. He was later listed in serious but stable condition.

The name of the victim has not been released.
