A 28-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Indian River County Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened shortly after 8 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 606, also known as Oslo Road, and 66th Avenue.
Officials say Stephen Stradley of Vero Beach was driving a 2012 KIA Rio southbound on 66th Avenue and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection.
17-year-old James McCoy, also of Vero Beach, was attempting to turn at the intersection when Stradley’s vehicle came through. Stradley’s car overturned and he was thrown from his vehicle into a canal.
Stradley died at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
