INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. -- A crash on I-95 in Indian River County left one person dead Saturday night.
The southbound lanes of I-95 were closed Saturday night after the multi-vehicle crash near Fellsmere.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says a vehicle rear ended another vehicle on I-95 northbound, causing the second vehicle to spin clockwise into the median and overturn onto the center median guardrail and into the southbound lanes.
Deputies say the first vehicle also traveled over the guardrail and into the southbound lanes.
The second vehicle came to rest on its roof in the inside lane, where it was struck by a vehicle.
46-year-old Devi Sookdeo Singh of West Palm Beach died as a result of her injuries from the crash.
According to FHP, Singh was not wearing a seat belt.
