WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- After a 38-year break, the Van Surf & Skate Expo has returned to West Palm Beach.
From 1977 to 1981, the event was held at the former West Palm Beach Auditorium.
Now, decades later, the event has returned this weekend, this time to the Surfing Florida Museum at 1400 Elizabeth Avenue in the warehouse district of West Palm Beach.
The event features surfboard shaping demos, a halfpipe contest, concerts both nights, and two-time X-Games gold medal winner Alex Sorgente helping to celebrate the relaunch of the event.
The event happens from 10am to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday.
