Remembering a father, a husband, and a journalist.
Hundreds gathered Monday evening to honor the life of Rob Hiaasen, one of the 5 people killed during the shooting at the Capital Gazette newspaper.
Born and raised in Florida, Hiaasen worked at the Palm Beach Post in the 90's.
Hiaasen was an assistant editor at the Capital newspaper in Annapolis.
His family and friends called him a passionate and dedicated journalist, who worked tirelessly and always made people laugh.
Hiaasen, a father of three, had just celebrated his 33rd wedding anniversary with his wife, whose birthday was on the day of the newsroom attack.
"Father's day I signed a card, luckiest woman in the world, he was so generous and so loving," said his wife.
Hiaasen was 59-years-old.
