Local Congressional Democrats are asking for two gun bills to be passed.
The bills would close loopholes they say may have prevented the Orlando shootings.
Representatives Lois Frankel, Ted Deutch and Patrick Murphy are proposing a ban in gun sales for people who fall at the FBI's watch list.
"There is absolutely nothing that federal law enforcement can do to prevent him from being able to purchase that gun," said Rep. Ted Deutch.
The bill is in response to news the FBI interviewed the Orlando gunman at least three times before Sunday morning's shooting.
