WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A 37-year-old Lake Park man was shot and killed early Tuesday morning in West Palm Beach, police said.
A West Palm Beach Police Department detective said part of the incident happened at Military Trail and 45th Street, and officers responded there at about 3:30 a.m.
The victim was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
West Palm Beach police spokesman Mike Jachles said the man was in a car with another person at the time of the shooting. That vehicle was later recovered at another location.
Jachles said one person was brought to the police department where he was interviewed by detectives and released.
"At the present time, we're not identifying a suspect," Jachles said. "There have been no arrests made."
Police said there was no threat to the public.
The victim's name has not been released.
