After serving overseas, a local military dad had a big surprise Thursday for his children.
U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Steve Perez flew home to Palm Beach County following recent military duty in Afghanistan.
At about 8 p.m., his daughter was part of a flash mob performing at the Palm Beach Outlets in West Palm Beach.
At the end of the dance, Perez walked out, surprising his daughter and son.
"It's an amazing feeling. It's good to be home with these kids. It was all worth it. I'd do it again. I’m just happy to be home," said Perez.
His wife and his daughter's teacher helped set up the surprise.
