Former Palm Beach Gardens Police Officer Nouman Raja has entered a not guilty plea in the shooting death of Corey Jones.

Raja, who was released on bond last week, is charged with attempted murder and manslaughter by culpable negligence.

By entering a not guilty plea, Raja has waived an arraignment scheduled for next Tuesday.

His next court date is now July 14.

Jones was shot and killed on I-95 last October while waiting for a tow truck.
