There is no longer a heavy police presence near Community Drive and Village Boulevard in West Palm Beach.
Community Drive had been closed at that intersection.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said it was investigating a report of shots fired in the area and deputies took part in a security check.
The sheriff's office said there was no evidence that anyone fired a weapon.
Out of an 'abundance of caution' police and deputies searched for suspicious activity but did not find anything.
