WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — BurgerFi is getting high tech when it comes to ordering.
On Friday, the restaurant at CityPlace in West Palm Beach showed off new facial recognition kiosks.
Here’s how they work: when you place an order, you can choose to have the kiosks scan your face and store your facial geometry into BurgerFi’s computer system.
The next time you visit, you’ll be able to pull up your previous order using that facial recognition technology, and you can reorder your favorite meal with just a tap.
BurgerFi said the new technology makes the ordering process faster, easier, and more personal.
The restaurant said it only captures your facial geometry if you've given consent to opt-in to facial recognition.
BurgerFi is rolling out this technology at other locations throughout the state.
