The man accused of killing the owner of Jimmy the Greek restaurant in 2014 was found not guilty Monday by reason of insanity, according to court records.
Tilus Lebrun was a dishwasher at the suburban Boca Raton restaurant. He was accused of fatally stabbing Dimitrios Karaloukas, also known as Jimmy, inside the restaurant.
Lebrun also stabbed Jose Luis Romero Flores, another employee at the restaurant.
According to The Palm Beach Post, prosecutors and Lebrun’s defense attorney chose not to move forward with a trial after two mental-health experts found Lebrun was insane
Court records also show Lebrun will be committed to an institution indefinitely.
"Let’s hope and pray God keeps him in there,” Karaloukas's widow told reporters, according to the Sun Sentinel.
