WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- One person is dead and another critically injured after a crash Sunday morning in West Palm Beach.

Florida Highway Patrol says a 2013 Hyundai 2-door vehicle was traveling on I-95 southbound near the 45th Street exit when it veered off the roadway at 6:45 a.m.

The vehicle collided with a tree and overturned.

Both the driver and passenger were ejected.

The vehicle continued to overturn and came to rest on Village Boulevard, blocking the northbound lane.

One occupant, 25-year-old Sharvon S. Buckles, died at the scene.

The other occupant, 25-year-old Ayekieya R. Anthony, remains in critical condition at St. Mary's Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation to determine who was the driver of the vehicle.
