WELLINGTON, Fla. — UPDATE: The boil water notice has been rescinded. The water is now safe to drink.
------------------------
ORIGINAL STORY:

A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for certain residents in Wellington because of a water main break.

People in the following areas are advised to boil their water for at least one minute:

  • 13796-13870 Exotica Lane
  • All of Cornflower Court
  • All of Elder Court
  • 597 Azure Avenue

Wellington’s Utilities Department said the notice will remain in effect until two consecutive days of tests show the water is safe.

Utilities officials advise residents to use bottled water whenever possible, and boil tap water if you plan to use it for cooking and washing dishes.
