PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit and run involving one of the agency's deputies.

PBSO said a motorcycle deputy was trying to stop a driver for speeding in the area of Park Avenue in suburban Lake Park on Monday at 2:30 p.m.

The driver purposely put his car into reverse and backed into the deputy, then took off.

The deputy wasn't hurt, but his motorcycle was damaged, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The suspect may be driving:

  • 2010 – 2016 dark-colored Buick
  • Shattered driver’s window
  • Slight rear bumper damage
  • Front end damage
