Riviera Beach city workers responded to a sewage spill on Singer Island Saturday morning.
A lift station on Park Ave under renovation clogged, causing over 1,000 gallons of sewage to flood the area, according to Riviera Beach Utilities.
Lift station #10 has been under renovation for several months, said a Utilities spokesperson.
The crew was able to clean up and sanitize the area within two hours.
No sewage entered into potable water and the spill did not affect drinking water, said the spokesperson.
Officials with Riviera Beach said workers will be taking samples of water from the Intracoastal as a precautionary measure.
