A boil water notice is no longer in effect for Hypoluxo residents serviced by Manalapan, according to the town.
It was originally ordered as a result of pressure loss in a water main and an interruption in service, a Manalapan spokesperson said.
As a precaution, the town was urging affected customers to bring all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes to a rolling boil of one minute or more.
The water is safe to drink, the town of Manalapan says.
