PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputy received a written reprimand after the agency said he improperly secured his PBSO-issued gun that was in his car.
According to an internal affairs report, Deputy Jason Younger called his superiors in May to tell them his car had been broken into at an LA Fitness gym in Miami.
Younger's firearm was stolen, as well as his PBSO ID card and badge.
According to the internal investigation, PBSO said Younger "didn't follow proper protocol of securing his weapon, PBSO ID card, and PBSO badge which caused these items to be stolen."
