A 62-year-old man has died three days after crashing his motorcycle.

Theodore Estes of Loxahatchee accelerated quickly and then was ejected when he put on the brakes of his vehicle Friday in the parking lot of 12031 Southern Boulevard, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

He wore a non DOT approved helmet and sustained major injuries to his head, a sheriff’s office report stated.

Estes was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition.

He was pronounced dead Monday.
