A man has been charged with Sexual Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Burglary with Battery in a cold case from 1988.
On October 5, 1988, a victim reported being awakened and sexually battered by an unknown black male with a gun.
Detectives with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office processed a Sexual Assault Kit as a result of recent legislation, SB 636, and identified the suspect, 63-year-old Luman Bodie.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Bodie.
He is currently serving life in prison for a sexual assault that occurred in Collier County.
Bodie will be transported back to Palm Beach County to be booked on the new set of charges.
