LANTANA, Fla. — A person was rescued after a Brightline train hit a vehicle in Lantana on Tuesday afternoon.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said the vehicle was struck near E. Coast Ave. and W. Central Blvd.
Fire officials said the vehicle was heavily damaged. At least one person was trapped, but crews were able to extricate the victim for transportation to a trauma hospital.
No one on the train was hurt.
