Lantana police say a pedestrian is dead following an incident involving a southbound Brightline train.
They say it happened near Dixie Highway and Ocean Avenue just before 3 p.m. Thursday.
Traffic is affected and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Wednesday a pickup truck was struck by a Brightline train in Lake Worth shortly after 7 a.m.
In that incident, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says the driver of the truck was able to escape before impact.
