Ay Jalisco, a Mexican restaurant located at 1814 US 1 in Sebastian, was ordered closed after a state inspector saw several live roaches and insects.

Three high-priority violations were found during an Aug. 9 inspection.

Live, small flying insects were found in the kitchen, food preparation area or food storage area.

An employee at Ay Jalisco also handled soiled dishes or utensils and then handled clean dishes or utensils without washing hands.

Both restaurants were allowed to re-open a day later after passing follow-up inspections.
