A driver who failed to obey a crossing guard struck a child Monday morning, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
It happened in front of Barton Elementary School in Lake Worth.
Deputies cited Myra Pelico Ordonav, 27, of Lake Worth for not having a driver's license and failure to obey a traffic device.
The victim, an 8-year-old-student, received minor injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
She was treated and released from St. Mary’s Medical Center, the sheriff's office said.
Luckily, the boy that was struck will survive. Drive safely and obey the Crossing Guards. Help us #KeepKidsSafe https://t.co/mb8v93XgcT
