PALM SPRINGS, Fla. -- Firefighters extinguished a fire at a commercial building in Palm Springs on Tuesday morning.

Crews responded to reports of a fire at 8:09 a.m. in the 3000 block of S. Congress Avenue.

First arriving crews reported a warehouse fire with heavy smoke conditions and activated sprinklers inside the store.

Firefighters located a fire in the back of the store and began a fire attack.

The actions of the firefighters along with the functioning sprinklers prevented the blaze from spreading to other parts of the store and adjacent stores in the strip mall complex.
