PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A gas leak has closed a busy road in Palm Beach County.
Fire Rescue officials say workers digging in the area of Belvedere Road and S.R. 7 struck a 4-inch gas line Friday afternoon.
Belvedere Road is closed both east and westbound from S.R. 7 to Breakers West Boulevard.
A utility company is on the scene, the leak has been stopped, and the road is expected to reopen shortly, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
