PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — The Palm Beach Zoo has an adorable new addition!

On Monday, the zoo announced the birth of a cute baby siamang, which came into this world on Oct. 1.

The siamang's parents, Raya and Zain, were designated as a genetic match for breeding by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

According to the zoo, the baby siamang, who doesn't have a name yet, is doing very well, feeding regularly, gaining weight, and growing.

Siamang babies cling to their mothers at birth, and remain close to their mother and father for the first two years, the Palm Beach Zoo said.

Siamangs belong to the gibbon family and are currently on the endangered species list.
