WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Giving the gift of sustainability was the theme Thursday night for the city of West Palm Beach.
Gently-used aquatic gear like paddleboards, kayaks and snorkel gear was offered at reduced prices.
By reselling the newly-retired gear, the effort hopes to reduce waste.
"Visit Palm Beach takes their old kayaks, paddleboards and snorkeling gear and we are 'up-cycling' them and allowing the public to buy them at a discounted rate,” Kami Kreaps spokeswoman for Visit Palm Beach.
