Actress Zoe Kravitz was apparently too dark for "The Dark Knight Rises."
The 26-year-old told Nylon magazine this month that she was denied an audition for the 2012 blockbuster Batman flick because of the color of her skin. Kravitz — a black woman — is the daughter of rocker Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet.
"[The filmmakers] told me I couldn't get an audition for a small role they were casting because they weren't 'going urban,'" Kravitz said in the interview.
The situation apparently hasn't harmed her career. Kravitz has appeared in the "Divergent" film series, Showtime's "Californication" and this summer's successful "Mad Max: Fury Road."
