Weeks after a public panic ensued over the transfer of two Ebola virus patients to the United States, the inflicted pair have been released from the hospital. How is that possible?

Dr. Kent Brantly, one of the patients, made a statement upon his release today.

"I am thrilled to be alive, to be well, and to be reunited with my family," Brantly said, according to CNN.
