A Utah Highway Patrol trooper was hit by a vehicle in Sardine Canyon while responding to multiple slide offs in the canyon.
The second generation trooper, Sgt. Cade Brenchley, suffered broken ribs and a broken scapula. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
According to a news release, this was the 11th trooper hit on Utah roads this year. In 2017, 10 troopers were hit.
