Time Warner Cable data may have been stolen

Time Warner Cable announced this week that the data of 320,000 customers may have been stolen.

The data includes email address and passwords, according to a Time Warner spokesperson. The source of the theft is not clear, according to a report from Reuters.

It does not appear that Time Warner Cable's systems were breached, and data may have been taken in a phishing or malware attack on other companies storing TWC information.
