It appears that Tim Tebow’s baseball experiment seems like it’s off to a good start.

The former NFL quarterback launched the first home run of his professional career in an instructional league game on Wednesday.

Reports indicate that the New York Mets prospect homered came on the first pitch he saw in Wednesday’s game.

Tebow signed a minor league contract with the MEts earlier this month four years removed from his short-lived NFL career. At 29, Tebow is currently one of the oldest players in the history of the Instructional League.
