BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- After a woman's child threw up on a Brooklyn bus, another woman on the bus followed her off and slashed her in the face, according to police.
The 31-year-old mom was riding an MTA city bus with her children in the East New York section of Brooklyn on Tuesday just after 6 p.m., officials said.
When one of her children started to throw up, apparently upsetting another passenger, the mother took her kids and got off bus, authorities said.
According to police, the irate woman on the bus followed the family off, walked up to the mother, pulled out a knife and slashed her in the face near the corner of Elton Street and Sutter Avenue.
The unidentified attacker fled eastbound on Sutter Avenue in a blak Toyota Camry, police said.
Officials said the mother was taken to a nearby hospital with a laceration to the face.
The NYPD has released the above surveillance image of the woman they're looking for in the attack.
