Readers of Time magazine says Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has been the most influential person so far this year.
The Vermont senator received the most number of votes in an online poll conducted last month.
Sanders finished with 3.3 percent of the total “yes” votes when the poll closed at midnight Thursday, edging out the South Korean boy band Big Bang’s 2.9 percent.
Hillary Clinton, Sanders’ opponent for the Democratic nomination, finished with 1 percent of the "yes" votes.
TIME’s editors ultimately choose the TIME 100, which will be announced April 21.
