PLAINFIELD, Ind. -- Police are investigating a forklift accident that left an employee dead Sunday at Amazon’s Plainfield fulfillment center.
The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. at the facility at 800 Perry Road.
Plainfield Police Captain Jill Lees said officers were dispatched to the scene, where they found paramedics already working on a patient.
Ultimately, the patient was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lees said the investigation was still very preliminary, but that police were treating the death as an accident.
The identity of victim was not immediately released.
