Good news: The 2019 Atlantic hurricane season ends today, November 30!

The season produced 18 named storms, including six hurricanes (three of those classified as "major").

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicted there would be 10-17 named storms, 5-9 hurricanes and 2-4 major hurricanes.

This year marks the fourth consecutive Atlantic hurricane season with above-normal activity.

NOAA says an average season has 12 named storms, six hurricanes, and three major hurricanes.

The 2020 hurricane season begins on June 1 and NOAA's Climate Prediction Center will provide its initial seasonal outlook in May.
