FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A sheriff’s office in Wisconsin is reminding drivers to slow down on snowy roads this winter.
The Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Office posted a dash-camera video Tuesday showing a close call that happened Christmas Day where a deputy was nearly hit by a vehicle sliding out of control.
The sheriff's office said the deputy was on the side of Highway 151 to help another driver who had slid into a ditch.
The sheriff's office says this video serves as a great example of people driving too fast for winter driving conditions, potentially putting lives at risk.
The video has been shared more than 3,600 times since it was posted.
