(CNN NEWSOURCE) Doctors, patients, and medical administrators across the country will observe National Nurses Day today.
May 6th also marks the start of National Nurses Week, ending on Florence Nightingale's birthday on May 12th.
The annual week-long celebration honors the contributions made by nurses around the nation.
