MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — A 31-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday morning in Martin County after a wreck involving a pickup truck.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a 2011 Suzuki motorcycle, driven by Brandon Wilson, 31, of Port St. Lucie was traveling south on Pratt Whitney Road at 11:03 a.m.
A 2018 Ford F-150 was also heading south on Pratt Whitney Road ahead of the motorcycle.
FHP said Wilson attempted to pass the truck on the left side, but the motorcycle’s left side struck the truck's right rear.
The motorcycle continued in a southwest direction and hit a guardrail.
Wilson, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and came to a final rest in the bike lane southbound on Pratt Whitney Road. The driver of the truck was not hurt.
The report said charges are pending in the wreck.
FHP said the wreck remains under investigation.
