The Martin County School District's Head Start Program will begin accepting applications for the 2019-2020 school year on Monday.

Parents will need to schedule an appointment to register during normal business hours at any of the following locations:

Head Start is a federally-funded program targeting 3- and 4-year-old children from low-income families in the Stuart, Port Salerno and Indiantown communities.

Children enrolled in the Martin County School District's Head Start programs follow the K-12 school calendar, are provided with free breakfasts and lunches, and full day quality learning experiences and instruction.

The focus of Head Start is school readiness for both the child and their family. Enrollment space is limited, so parents are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible.

Families who have children with disabilities are also encouraged to apply. To register, parents will need to bring the following: · Birth Certificate (the child must be at least three years old by Sept. 1, 2019).
