Jimmy Dean sausage links recalled due to possible metal contamination

<p>Thousands of pounds of Jimmy Dean meat products have been recalled after customers reported finding metal inside them.</p><p>The USDA <a href="https://www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsis/topics/recalls-and-public-health-alerts/recall-case-archive/archive/2018/recall-120-2018-release" target="_blank">said in a press release</a> Monday CTI Foods LLC is recalling more than 29,000 pounds of Jimmy Dean Heat 'n Serve Original Sausage Links Made with Pork & Turkey.</p><p>A note <a href="https://www.jimmydean.com/news" target="_blank">on Jimmy Dean's website</a> said multiple consumers told CTI they discovered "small, string-like fragments of metal" in the product.</p><p>The company says the fragments were found in a very limited number of packages, but it decided to issue the recall out of an abundance of caution.
