Could an illegal party drug become legal to use for medical purposes?

Some science journals say ecstasy could get the stamp of approval by the Food and Drug administration within the next five years.

Members of the military say Ecstasy has helped them to deal with post traumatic stress disorder.
   
About 83 percent of patients tested in one study did not experience PTSD at all two months after treatment.

Many teens use the street form of the drug, Molly, to get high, which is causing reservations about making it more accessible.

The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) said they expect the FDA to approve it as soon as 2021.
