It's a great day to shop online, especially for those with an Amazon Prime membership. Tuesday is “Prime Day”, where thousands of items are on sale.

Throughout the day Amazon will have more than 100,000 deals exclusively for Prime members. The company says new deals are rolled out approximately every five minutes.

The annual cost for Amazon Prime is $99 or $10.99 a month. With it you get two-day shipping, Prime Video, Prime Music and special access to deal days.

This is the second time Amazon has thrown its “Prime Day” and it paid off big time.
Last year Amazon sold 47,000 TV's on its U.S. site. For the company, it's a bigger shopping day than Black Friday; it comes in second behind Cyber Monday.

Others are taking notice and are advertising their own deals to compete.
Walmart launched a month-long roll back promotion and announced free shipping on all online orders through Friday.

Ebay says it also has deals exclusively for everyone.
