The Okeechobee Music and Arts Fest will not be returning for 2019. Organizers posted this statement on their website.

"After much consideration and looking at many different options, we have decided to take a fallow year and not hold our annual Okeechobee Fest in 2019."

Fallow means "(of farmland) plowed and harrowed but left unsown for a period in order to restore its fertility as part of a crop rotation or to avoid surplus production."

The promoters say they are looking to March of 2020 to bring the festival back.

In 2017 the festival drew an estimated 40,000 people.
